Woohyun’s “아이유 지켜라” and Kai grabbing her attention. x 

IU’s “You and I” has been #1 for its 5^th week on the Billboard K-Pop Hot 100 chart. Ever since January 9, IU has been #1 for the past 5 weeks. This is the longest time that a song has been continuously #1 since the K-Pop Hot 100 chart was created. (Around August of 2011)

As seen in the picture, currently #2 is “We Used to Be In Love” by Davichi & T-ara, #3 is “Trouble Maker” by HyunA & Jang Hyun Seung, #4 is “I’m Upset” by Zia, and last but not least #5 is “Cry Cry” by T-ara.

Sorry I’ve been posting a bunch of news articles lately. >< I try to refrain from posting too much news, I’m just really proud of her!

On December 29th, B2ST‘s Yoseob had a wonderful duet performance with IU at the 2011 SBS Gayo Daejun.

On January 2nd, SBS E! K-Star News aired a special featuring some backstage footage from the Gayo Daejun and it seems Yoseob was quite nervous for the performance.

Before the performance, he had a short interview session with a reporter:

Yoseob: I’m singing a song with IU sunbaenim.
Reporter: What song is it?
Yoseob: “If you want a lover.”
Reporter: If you were really to have a girlfriend what would you do with her?
Yoseob: Go to the amusement park and have a surprising event as well.
Reporter: If you were to date IU?
Yoseob: I’m so nervous and shy, how can that happen? I can barely even sing with her.

After the performance, both IU and Yoseob were asked how the performance went. While IU seemed perfectly fine answering, “It was fun,” Yoseob on the other replied, “I was shaking… I really was shaking… Ah, I feel so shy.”

Singer IU surprised her fans with a style change on the cover of Japanese Hallyu magazine, ‘Fun‘.

IU’s normally known for her cute looks which don’t require more than minimal styling to bring out, so fans were stunned by her elegant transformation that made her look older than her age. The long, wavy hair style was a welcome change that had netizens looking at her in a different light.

Some commented, “I didn’t think IU had this side to her,” “Looking like a goddess now,” “Is she getting ready for her Japanese advancement,” and “Looks like IU’s getting popular in Japan.”

In related news, IU signed with EMI Music Japan for her 2012 Japanese debut.
